Rehabilitation Service for Seabirds, Waterbirds and Native
Birds and other Australian Native Animals..
Our facility is the only one in Southeast Queensland that
specialises in Seabirds, we are situated on 2147 Steve Irwin
Way Landsborough Qld 4550.
We have been providing this service to the public for 12
years.
We attend to callouts and are open to the public to drop off
injured wildlife.
Although we specialise in Seabirds we never turn away any
injured animal.

WINNER OF TANGALOOMA ISLAND RAFFLE!

PELICAN PARADISE GETS A MAKEOVER!
Pelican Paradise received a makeover this week, the fully enclosed dam was extended to include more land for the Pelicans to roost on. Future plans are to make the dam longer to include an island. view picture 1, view picture 2
COMMUNITY TREE PLANTING DAY!
To coincide with World Forestry Day and Harmony Day Twinnies Pelican and Seabird Rescue Inc. and John Pearson/Look Now Training and Employment are holding a community tree planting at 2147 Steve Irwin Way Landsborough on the 21st March 2011 from 10am. NEW ADDRESS FOR TWINNIES PELICAN & SEABIRD RESCUE INC.
Twinnies Pelican and Seabird Rescue Inc. has relocated to a new location at 2147 Steve Irwin Way Landsborough Qld 4550.
The new location is on 3 acres, which contains an office, Intensive Care Unit, Pre Release Enclosures and Pelican Paradise (a fully fenced dam) for pelicans in permanent care.
We are fully operational for rescues and drop offs.
An official opening day will be scheduled soon for you to visit.
WILDLIFE CARERS ON NORTH STRADBROKE ISLAND CALL FOR HELP
Stradbroke Wildlife Rescue called upon our assistance as they found a Crested Tern at Amity Caravan Park that was dehydrated and Weak. Helen met Stella at the Redland Bay Terminal to transport the Crested Tern to Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital for assessment and treatment. "Red" has now been taken into care and will be rehabilitated at our facility until he is ready to be released back onto Stradbroke Island.
BRISBANE CITY COUNCIL WILDLIFE CARERS GRANT
We are pleased to announce that Paula and Bridgette Powers have been successful recipients of The Wildlife Carer Funding Program Round 1, 2010/2011 through the Brisbane City Council. We have been granted an amount of $4,995.87 for expenses already paid for caring for wildlife.
We would like to thank Gail Gipp from the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital for sponsoring us for this grant.
