Australia has three species of Booby's; Masked Booby (Sula dactylatra), Red Footed Booby (Sula sula) and the Brown Booby (Sula leucogaster).

"Princess" was rescued from Peregian Beach on the 18/07/2010, she was very thin and weak. Princess was taken directly to the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital for assessment. All xrays were clear, she had bruising to right foot, covered in ticks and blood work showed low protein levels. Princess has been recovering in our Intensive Care Unit and is slowly responding to treatment. She will be moved to our pre-release area once she is stable and will have intensive physiotherapy to increase her wing power before release.
